ABSTRACT This thesis is entitled "A STUDY ON ROLE OF PARENTS ON CHILDREN’S ACHIEVEMENT IN ONLINE LEARNING PROCESS" The research problem of this study is what are parents role towards their children achievement in online learning process, and what are influence factors by parents towards their children achievement in online learning process. The purpose of this study is to find out parents’ role towards their children achievement in online learning process, and the influence factors by parents towards their children achievement in online learning process. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive approach. The subjects in this study were parents in blocks D and D1. Data collection were taken through interviews and observations. The writer acts as a direct interviewer to explore data through parents in blocks D and D1. The results showed that parents’ role towards their children achievement in online learning process that is parents carry out two roles at once, the first to be a parent and the second to be a home teacher; provide facilities and infrastructure for children; give spirit; motivation; directing children according to their talents and interests each child has. The influence factors by parents towards their children achievement in online learning process that is background parental education affects the level of ease and difficulty of parents in educating children; The economic level of parents affects the online learning process, especially in terms of facilitating online learning child; difficulty dividing time between children and work; number of family members also influences parents in providing guidance to children in learning at home.

The purpose of this research is to describe the body language used in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. The research questions are what are the characteristics and functions of body language used in teaching and learning process?, and what are the types of body language used in teaching and learning process?. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The data resource of this research is taken from YouTube channel. The technique of data analysis used are put the data that has been classified into the pictures, identify the data of the pictures and describe the meaning and than interpreted the data. The result of this research shows that there are three thingsof body language used in the teaching and learning process in the classroom.The first is Function of Body Language. There are several functions of body language, such as Repetition, Substitution, Contradiction,Complementary and Accentuation. The second item is Characteristic of Body Language.It is usually related to body movements, such as the body and it’s parts and movements, head language and hand language and it’s parts and movements. The last item is Types of Body Language, such as The Head-Movement and Placement of the Head, Facial Expressions-the face has many muscles, Body Posture, Hand and Finger Gestures and also Facial Expression-to show the face look like in which it has a meaning in communication. The body language is needed in teaching learning process because it can help the teacher to understand students’ thoughts and vice versa students can understand the teacher’s thoughts. This can be seen from the body language shown by teacher and students through body movements and facial expressions.The impact for the teacher to know the meaning of body language, namely, the teacher knows whether the student can receive well or not the lessons given during the teaching and learning process in class and vice versa students can also read the body language used by the teacher to show whether the lessons given to students are understood. Well or not by the teacher.

ABSTRACT
The title of this writing is ‘‘ A Study On Translation From Bahasa Indonesia Into English of Second year students of SMA Kristen 2 Kalabahi In School Year 2021/2022. The research problem of this study are (1). What are types of translation used to translate the text from Bahasa Indonesia into English of second year students of SMA Kristen 2 Kalabahi. (2). What are the processes used to translate text from Bahasa Indonesia into English of second years students of SMA Kristen 2 Kalabahi. The aims of this study are (1). To describe the type of translation used to translate the text from Bahasa Indonesia into English of second years students of SMA Kristen 2 Kalabahi. (2). To identify the process of translate used to the text from Bahasa Indonesia into English of second year students of SMA Kristen 2 Kalabahi. In this research the writer used qualitative method. The place of this research were 15 sample of SMA Kristen 2 Kalabahi. Data collection technique in this research used descriptive qualitative method was procedure which analysed translation from Bahasa Indonesia into English. The instruments used in this research the writer used observation . After analyzing the data, the writer found that there are two type of translation, namely: First, Literal translation. Second, Idiomatic translation. furthermore there are three processes of translation, namely : First. Analysis of source language text. Second. transference of Message. Third. Restructurisation. writer hopes this research will add more knowledge about translation of Bahasa Indonesia into English and its processes.

A DESCRIPTIVE STUDY ON FACTORS INFLUENCING STUDENT’S ENGLISH LEARNING MOTIVATION AND TEACHER STRATEGY USED TO INCREASE STUDENT’S MOTIVATION AT SMP PGRI HAUMENIBAKI ABSTRACT Yeti S.H Tana1 Seprianus A. Nenotek2 Norci Beeh3 The author's title is “Descriptive Study of Factors Influencing Students' English Learning Motivation and Teacher Teaching Strategies Used to Increase Student Learning Motivation in SMP PGRI Haumenibaki” This thesis has two problem formulations which answer the factors that influence learning motivation and strategies teacher in teaching. To answer this question, the authors used a qualitative approach, therefore the data was presented in the form of a questionnaire given to 25 students, the authors found the cause of the influence of student learning motivation and teacher teaching strategies that occurred in the learning process in the classroom and found that they were still less motivated to learn because they are less interested in learning English, the proof is from the results of the questionnaire that there are still many students who answer disagree and overall the teacher's teaching strategy in increasing student learning motivation can be said to be going well. The factors that influence the teacher's strategy in increasing student learning motivation are: Teachers, students, facilities and infrastructure, time allocation and student environment. Therefore it can be said that the factors that influence student motivation and teacher strategies still occur anywhere under any circumstances and cannot be avoided from the educational environment.

This research is entitled ‘A Descriptive Study on The Traditional Ceremony Process of Ngoa Ngi’i in Sawu Village, Nagekeo Regency’. The research questions are (1) why do the community carry out a Ngoa Ngi’i ceremony in Sawu Village and (2) How is the process of the Ngoa Ngi’i ceremony in Sawu village. It is aimed to find out the background or the reasons of why the people of Sawu village hold the Ngoa Ngi’i ceremony. Complete information regarding the required data is obtained from Mosalaki, using the closed interview method. The data collected is qualitative, technical writing using descriptive analysis. The result of the research, show the reasons of the Ngoa Ngi’i ceremony are (1) because ngoa ngi’i ceremony is a tradition (2) there are no obstacles during childbirth (3) if do not carry out the ceremony it will be get customary sanctions by Mosalaki. The process of Ngoa Ngi’i ceremony consists of the place of implementation, time, the people involved, and the tools used in the cutting tooth ceremony. (1) The place of Ngoa Ngi’i ceremony is conduct at home that has been agreed upon by the family, (2) the time of this ceremony conduct when the age of mothers seven months pregnant, (3) the people who involved in this traditional ceremony consist of Mosalaki ‘customary elder’, Ata Mali ‘people who conduct the Ngoa Ngi’i’, Pregnant, Family, and local community, (4) the tools that used in the ceremony consist of tora ‘pumpkins’, dhali whetstone’,wunu ila ‘bamboo leave’, wea ‘gold’, awu lapu ‘kitchen ash’, watu co’o ‘small stone’, yolo waja ‘corn’, moke ‘traditional drink’, and the last is manu lalu toyo ‘red chicken. ABSTRACT The title of this Thesis is ‘‘An Analysis of Ideational Meaning of the Song Lyric in Michael Learns to Rock Greates Album Hits ‘Paint My Love’. The research problems of this study are: 1) what is the ideational meaning found in the song lyric of Michael Learns to Rock greatest hits‘Paint My Love? 2) How are the proces used to express the ideational meaning on the song of Michael learns to rock. The aims of this study are: 1) to find out the ideational meaning in the song lyric of Michael Learns to Rock greatest hits‘Paint My Love 2) to describe and identify the process used of ideational meaning on the song of Michael learns to rock. In this research the writer used qualitative method to describe the data. The data was taken from the lyric song in MLTR Greates hits Album, after found the data, the writer analyzed the data and find out the ideational meaning realized with the participant such as I, you, they, he, she and its, processes (material process, mental process, existential process, verbal process, behavioral process and relation process), and circumstance such as the rain and snow, tomorrow and here today.

The title of this writing “A Descriptive Study on English Learning Strategy Found in Teaching and Learning Process on Youtube Videos” The research problems of the study were: 1) What are the types of learning strategies applied by the teacher on youtube video? and 2) How are the teacher on Youtube applied the learning strategies in teaching and learning? The method used in this writing is qualitative method. The data of this resarch was taken from three youtube videos. The writer collected and analyzed: 1) The types of learning strategies applied by the teacher on youtube video and 2) The teacher on Youtube applied the learning strategies in teaching and learning. After analyzed the data, the writer found that the types and the meaning of learning strategies applied by the teacher on youtube video namely: 1) Direct learning strategies (direct instruction), 2) Indirect learning strategy (indirect instruction), 3) Interactive learning strategies (interactive instruction) dan 4) Independent learning strategy. The writer hope this research can add more knowledge about teaching strategies in teaching and learning process.

ABSTRACT This study of this research is “An Analysis Of English Course Lesson Plans Design Amid Covid-19 Pandemic: A Descriptive Study In SMP Negeri 10 Kupang. The problem of this study are what is the model of the English Lesson Plans design in Covid-19 Pandemic? and how do English teachers design of English Course lesson plans? The objective of this research are To know the model of English Course Lesson Plans, and To explain the way the English teachers design the lesson plan. The subject of this study are five English teacher in SMPN 10 Kupang. The data was taken from documentation ( 10 Lesson Plans or two LP from each teacher ) and the result of interview (with 13 question) the teacher about designing the lesson plan. This study applied Descriptive Qualitative Methode and the instruments used are documentaries and interview. All the data gained are analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis. The result of this research showed that the models of lesson plans design by the teachers is One sheet lesson plans. The Lesson Plans contains of 3 main components are Learning objective, activities and Assessment. The design process of lesson plans by the teachers are agree with the Standars Process in Designing 1 sheet Lesson Plans and suitable to use in Pandemic covid-19 Pandemic.
