This research is entitled “AN ANALYSIS ON MAXIM CONVERSATION ON KABOAX SHORT MOVIE ON YOUTUBE'' The author formulates two research questions, namely: (1) What are the types of maxim conversation used by the short film Kaboax? and (2) What is the most dominant type of maxim used by the short film Kaboax. This study aims to determine the types of conversational maxims and maxims that are most dominantly used by the short film Kaboax. Data was taken using a checklist of observations, and then the authors copied and analyzed the data using qualitative descriptive methods in conducting this research. The results showed that the authors found four types of maxims of conversation according to Grice's 2014 theory. The researchers found 47 types of maxims of conversation consisting of 30 maxims of quantity, 10 maxims of quality, 3 maxims of manners and 4 maxims of relation and the author also found maxims of quantity. the most dominant as many as 30 conversations that have been implemented in the cast in the short film Kaboax

The title is "A Descriptive Study On Types Of Ice-Breaking Techniques In Teaching English At SD GMIT Kuanino II Kupang" the research problems of this study are: (1) What are the types of Ice Breaking techniques used in teaching English (2) What is the dominant type of Ice Breaking techniques used in teaching English. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The data was collected by checklist observation, in this case the writer observed the activities of the teacher in the class who used the types of ice-breaking during the lesson. Based on the data, it was found that (1) The types of ice breaking techniques used by the teacher in teaching English at SD GMIT Kuanino II Kupang are, yelling, claps hand, songs, body motion, games, and audio visual, (2) The most dominant type of ice breaking used by the teacher in teaching English at SD GMIT Kuanino II Kupang, is yelling.

ABSTRACT
The title of this writing was ‘’ study on code mixing found in POS KUPANG newspaper’’. This research aims to know the kinds and dominant kind of code mixing used in pos Kupang newspaper. The data taken from 30 editions of a month, using descriptive qualitative method. The writer used documentary instrument to find out the kinds and dominant one of code mixing. The result of the data analysis shows that POS KUPANG newspaper had six kinds of code mixing and also one dominant kind of code mixing. The findings showed that there are 71 titles out of 113 code-mixing from whole five kinds of code mixing represented; word (jadi hari ini kita lakukan pra event keliling kota Labuan bajo), phrase (saat ini kita memprioritaskan kelompok dengan high risk dimana sasaran 60% dari kecamatan borong), hybrid ( karya anak lembata didunia perfilman telah resmi dilaunching), repetition (kalau ada yang mau belajar kita sharing-sharing aja dari komunitas), idiom ( ini fresh from the oven baru tadi malam ditemukan dua kasus) and clause (Kalau gulunga itu printing. Tapi, tenun is not only tenun as fashion, but is also art. Seni. Sehingga tidak bisa gulungan seperti itu.) However, the most dominant code mixing used in Pos Kupang newspaper indicates by word with the total number of 50 (44,25%), therefore word was dominant Because, the number of word was high than others.

ABSTARCT
This study is entitled “A DESCRIPTIVE STUDY ON LINGUISTICS LANDSCAPE OF COMMERCIAL SIGN IN KUPANG CITY. This study aims are 1) to know the form of language in the linguistic landscape in commercial sign in Kupang city , especially in Kota Raja sub-district, Kuanino village Moch. Hatta street. 2) to find out the dominant language used in linguistic landscape in commercial sign in Kupang city , especially in Kota Raja sub-district, Kuanino village Moch. Hatta street (Monolingual, Bilingual and Multilingual). Data in the form of taking the picture used a camera. In conducting this research analyzing the data, the writer used a qualitative descriptive method. The writer found out the one form of linguistic landscape used in commercial sign that is billboards consist of 130 data. First, the most form of linguistics landscape used in commercial sign are bilingual with 68 data, second, the form of linguistics used in commercial are monolingual with 61 data, and the least form of linguistics landscape used is multilingual with 1 data.
