AN ANALYSIS ON AFFIXATION PROCESS OF ANAKALANG DIALECT PONDOK VILLAGE, UMBU RATU NGGAY BARAT DISTRICT, CENTRAL SUMBA REGENCY ABSTRACT Debora lubu lila1 Magdalena Ngongo2 Erny S.N.Hambandima3 This study is entitled An Analysis on Affixation Process of Anakalang Dialect Pondok Village, Umbu Ratu Nggay Barat District, Central Sumba Regency. The research questions in this study are 1). What are the types of affixes found in the Anakalang Dialect, Pondok Village, Umbu Ratu Nggay Barat District, Central Sumba Regency? 2) What are the functions and meanings of the types of affixes found in the Anakalang Dialect, Pondok Village, Umbu Ratu Nggay Barat District, Central Sumba Regency? This study aims to determine the types of affixation, functions, and meanings found in the Anakalang dialect, Pondok Village, Umbu Ratu Nggay Barat District, Central Sumba Regency. This research method is descriptive qualitative. Data sources were taken using observation techniques through recordings from native speakers of the Anakalang language in the process of proposing or transferring a girl. Based on the results of the analysis it was found that there are two types of affixes, functions, and meanings of Anakalang dialect namely: prefixes and suffixes. The prefix consists of six types: ha-, ka-, ma-, na-, pa-, and ta-. In comparison, the suffix consists of three types, namely -da, -na, and -ngu. The function of affixes in the Anakalang dialect, is to change word classes into other word classes and then form affixes according to the inherent basic form. The meaning of affixes in the Anakalang dialect is to have different meanings according to the inherent basic form. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that there are only two types of affixes in the Anakalang dialect, Pondok Village, Umbu Ratu Nggay Barat District, Central Sumba Regency, namely prefixes and suffixes, and have functions and meanings that change word classes into other word classes. KAJIAN DESKRIPTIF AWALAN DALAM KITAB MATIUS DAN MARKUS DALAM BAHASA SABU

The title of this writing is “A Descriptive Study of Prefix in the Book of Matthew and Mark in Lii Hawu”. This research was conducted to answer the research problem; 1. What are the types of prefix in the book of Matthew and Mark in Lii Hawu? 2. What is the function of prefix in the book of Matthew and Mark in Lii Hawu? The aim of this research is to find out the types of prefix and the function of prefix in Lii Hawu. The method used in this research has been descriptive qualitative. The document from the Bible Lii Hawu (Indonesian Bible Institute) “New Testament in Today’s Sabu Version” from the Book of Matthew and Mark . Based on the data collected, the analysis focused on types and function affix in Lii Hawu. The results of data analysis showed that: (1) Type of prefix. There are four types of prefix, they are {pe-, ke-, he-, and ta-}. For example: (a). {pe-} + Kaddhi ‘get up’= pekaddhi ‘wake’, (b). {he-} + Atta ‘cut’ = heatta ‘piece’, (c). {ke-} + tallu ‘three’ = ketallu ‘third’, and (d). {ta-} + walle ‘buy’ = tawalle ’buy’. (2) Prefix in Lii Hawu has function produce verbs if they are attached to verbs. Example: [ta- + [walle]V]V, -walle ‘buy’is the verb and ta-walle ‘buy’ is the verb. Adjectives and verbs. Example: [pe- + [made]Adj]V], -made ‘dead’ is the adjective and pe-made ‘turn off’ is the verb. Produces a noun if it is attached to numbers. Example: [he- +[dau]N]Num, -dau ‘person’ is the noun and he-dau ‘a,/a is the numer. Verbs and numbers. Example: [he- +[bhakka]V]Num], -bhakka ‘split’ is the verb and he-bhakka ‘adjacent’ is the number. To produce number when it is attached to number. Example: [ke- + [tallu]Num]Num, -tallu ‘three’ is cardinal number and ke-tallu ‘third’ is ordinal number. Produce cousative verb when it is attached to verb. Example: [pe- + bui]V]V, -bui ‘fall’is the verb and pe-bui ‘drop’ is the verb.
