ABSTRAK INVENTARISASI JENIS-JENIS MOLLUSCA DIZONA INTERTIDAL PERAIRAN PT. TOM DESA BOLOK KECAMATAN KUPANG BARAT KABUPATEN KUPANG PROVINSI NUSA TENGGARA TIMUR Benu V)* Nge S.T )** Daud. Y)** Zona Intertidal merupakan daerah tersempit dari semua daerah yang terdapat di samudera dunia. Walaupun luas daerah ini sangat terbatas, tetapi memiliki variasi faktor lingkungan yang terbatas di bandingkan dengan daerah lautan lainnya. Mollusca berasal dari bahasa romawi yaitu molis yang berarti lunak, molluca merupakan hewan bertubuh lunak yang sebagian besar mempunyai cangkang dan tidak memiliki tulang belakang yang termasuk hewan berdarah dingin. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis–jenis mollusca di zona Intertidal Perairan PT. TOM Desa Bolok Kecamatan Kupang Barat Kabupaten Kupang Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur. Metode penelitian yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey eksplorative (jelajah). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian inventarisasi jenis-jenis mollusca di zona intertidal perairan PT. TOM, jenis mollusca yang di temukan berjumlah 3 kelas dan 8 spesies yaitu spesies Lepidozona Cooperi, Spondyus Gaederopus, Periglypta Reticulata, Lambis-Lambis, Maurita Arabica, Turbo Crassus, Ranella Lamarck, Petalloida Saccharida. Adapun factor yang mempengaruhi perkembangan hidup mollusca di habitatnya seperti suhu, tingkat keasaman (pH) dan sanilitas. Dengan demikian perlu adanya penelitian lanjutan mengenai jenis-jenis mollusca di perairan PT. TOM, desa bolok kecamatan kupang barat, kabupaten kupang karena tingkat keanekaragaman avertebratanya sangat tinggi. Y)** The Intertidal Zone is the narrowest area of all the areas in the world's oceans. Although the area of this area is very limited, it has a limited variety of environmental factors compared to other ocean areas. Molluscs come from the Roman language, namely molis which means soft, molluscs are soft-bodied animals that mostly have shells and do not have a backbone which are cold-blooded animals. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of molluscs in the waters of the Intertidal Zone of PT. TOM Blok Village, West Kupang District, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The research method used in this study is an exploratory survey method (roaming). Based on the research results of inventorying the types of molluscs in the intertidal zone of PT. TOM, the types of molluscs found were 3 classes and 8 species, namely the species Lepidozona Cooperi, Spondyus Gaederopus, Periglypta Reticulata, Lambis-Lambis, Maurita Arabica, Turbo Crassus, Ranella Lamarck, Petalloida Saccharida. The factors that influence the development of mollusc life in their habitat such as temperature, acidity level (pH) and sanitation. Thus it is necessary to have further research on the types of molluscs in the waters of PT. TOM, Blok village, West Kupang sub-district, Kupang district, because the level of avertebrate diversity is very high.
