ABSTRAK PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN RQA (READING, QUESTION AND ANSWERING) TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR KOGNITIF SISWA DI SMP NEGERI 6 BALFAI KUPANG TENGAH SATAP Lay, O. M* Meha, A. M** Ngginak, J** Salah satu masalah yang terdapat di SMP Negeri 6 Balfai Kupang Tengah Satap hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang masih rendah khususnya pada materi sistem pencernaan pada manusia. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran RQA (Reading, Question And Answering) terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa di SMP Negeri 6 Balfai Kupang Tengah Satap. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan metode eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 60 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIIIB yang berjumlah 20 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIIA yang berjumlah 20 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa pada kelas eksperimen peneliti menggunakan model pembelajaran RQA (Reading,Question And Answering) sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dikelas. Hal ini terlihat pada salah satu idikator yaitu C1 (mengingat) 83%. Penggunaan model pembelajaran RQA (Reading,Question And Answering) di dalam pembelajaran, siswa terlihat tertarik dan membantu siswa dalam memahami suatu bahasan sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir siswa. Pada kelas kontrol peneliti menggunakan metode konvensional sehingga tidak dapat menumbuhkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa, hal ini dilihat dari indikator C5 (mengevaluasi) dengan persentase 52%. Hasil presentase kelas kotrol ini menunjukan bahwa hasil belajar kognitif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran menggunakan metode konvensional rendah. Fakta tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran RQA (Reading,Question And Answering) ada pengaruh yang signifikan pada hasil belajar kognitif siswa B kelas VIII di SMP N 6 Balfai Kupang Tengah Satap. M** Ngginak, J** One of the problems at SMP Negeri 6 Balfai, Central Kupang is that students' cognitive learning outcomes are still low, especially in the subject of the human digestive system. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the RQA (Reading, Question and Answering) learning model on students' cognitive learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 6 Balfai Kupang Tengah Satap. The research uses a quantitative approach, with experimental methods. The population in this study was all 60 class VIII students. The sample in this research was class VIIIB, totaling 20 students, as the experimental class and class VIIIA, totaling 20 students, as the control class. The data collection technique used in this research is tests. The research data was analyzed using a parametric statistical test, namely the t-test with the help of SPSS. The results of the t-test data processing obtained a Sig (2-tailed) value of p=0.000, thus H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted because Sig (2-tailed) α or (0, 001 0.05). The results of this research state that the control class and experimental class have differences in student cognitive learning outcomes. In the experimental class, researchers used the RQA (Reading, Question and Answering) learning model so that it could improve students' cognitive learning outcomes in class. This can be seen in one of the indicators, namely C1 (remembering) 83%. Using the RQA (Reading, Question and Answering) learning model in learning, students look interested so that it can improve students' thinking abilities. Meanwhile, in the control class, researchers used conventional methods so that they could not improve students' cognitive learning outcomes, this can be seen from the C5 indicator (evaluating) with a percentage of 52%. The results of this control class percentage show that students' cognitive learning outcomes in the learning process using conventional methods are low. This fact shows that the RQA (Reading, Question and Answering) learning model has a significant influence on the cognitive learning outcomes of class VIII B students at SMP N 6 Balfai Kupang Tengah Satap.
