One of the main problems in learning to pass under volleyball games is that there are still obstacles and problems in the ongoing learning process. The ability to understand learning material and practice in PJOK subjects is still low because there are students who can understand some who cannot understand at all, especially practice on the field for underhand passing in volleyball games. In the learning process the teacher is also more active than the students so that students only listen to the material and get bored quickly. This can be seen from the monotonous learning process and there is no feedback from students when the learning process takes place. The solution offered is that the teacher needs to try to make updates in the learning process by adjusting the characteristics of students so tha tstudents are more active in the learning process and practice passing down in volleyball games. The aim of the study was to find out how students' motivation towards learning passing down in volley ball games at SMP Negeri 11 Kupang. The method used is descriptive method that provide a comprehensive picture of the problems that occur and tries to analyze them. In addition, research is also carried out using a qualitative approach in which each series of activities or process of filtering data or information is reasonable, regarding a problem in conditions, aspects or certain fields in the object's life. While data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation while data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentationand data verification. The results of data analysis and discussion show that students' motivation towards learning bottom passing in volleyball games is being able to play anywhere. As well as the benefits that can be obtained from learning deep passing, namely body fitness, increasing agility and body balance and building muscle strength. While the factors that hinder the passing down are internal and external factors. Internal factors such as physical condition and health of organs, while external factors such as learning material difficulties Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that students' motivation towards learning bottom passing in volleyball games at SMP Negeri 11 Kupang has started to look good because many students have started to be active in volleyball games and have mastered the technique of passing down volleyball games during practice. in the field.
