ABSTRAK PENGARUH METODE EKSPERIMEN TERHADAP SIKAP ILMIAH KELAS VII PADA MATERI PENCEMARAN LINGKUNGAN SMPN 3 KOTA KUPANG TAHUNAJARAN 2023/2024 Famaney S)* MehaA.M)** Tnunay P)** Metode eksperimen adalah suatu cara mengajar, di mana siswa melakukan suatu percobaan tentang sesuatu hal, mengamati prosesnya serta menuliskan hasil percobaannya, kemudian hasil pengamatan itu disampaikan ke kelas dan dievaluasi oleh guru. Penggunaan teknik ini mempunyai tujuan agar siswa mampu mencari dan menemukan sendiri berbagai jawaban atau persoalan-persoalan yang dihadapinya dengan mengadakan percobaan sendiri. Selain itu, siswa dapat terlatih dalam cara berfikir yang ilmiah. Adanya eksperimen siswa menemukan bukti kebenaran dari teori sesuatu yang sedang dipelajarinya.Penelitian inibertujuanmengetahui Pengaruh Metode Eksperimen Terhadap Sikap Ilmiah Siswa Kelas VII SMPN 3 Kupang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodeeksperimendenganrancanganpenelitianquasi experiment.Kelompokyang pertama diperlakuan (X) disebut kelompok eksperimendan kelompok yang laintidak diberi perlakuan (kelompok kontrol). Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitianini adalah siswa kelas VIIB (berjumlah 32 orang) dan kelas VIIC (berjumlah 32 orang) dimana kelas VII C adalah kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII B adalah kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 64 siswa.Pengumpulandatamenggunakanlembar observasidenganskalasikapLikert,datapenelitiandianalisismenggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian memperihatkan bahwa metode eksperimen memiliki pengaruh yang sangat baik terhadap sikap ilmiah siswa kelas VII SMPN 3 Kota Kupang Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Fakta tersebut diketahui dari uji t, dimana diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 7,692> dari nilai ttabel sebesar 1,697 dengan nilai signifikan 0,000 0,05. The use of this technique has the aim that students are able to find and find answers or problems themselves by conducting their own experiments. In addition, students can be trained in a scientific way of thinking. With experiments students find evidence of the truth of the theory of something they are studying. This study aims to determine the effect of the experimental method on the scientific attitude of Class VII students of SMPN 3 Kupang. This study used an experimental method with a quasi-experimental research design. The first group to be treated (X) is called the experimental group and the other group is not given any treatment (control group). The samples used in this study were students of class VIIB (totaling 32 people) and class VIIC (totaling 32 people) where class VII C was the experimental class and class VII B was the control class with a total of 64 students. Collecting data using a questionnaire with a Likert attitude scale, research data were analyzed using SPSS. The results of the study show that the experimental method has a very good effect on the scientific attitude of class VII students of SMPN 3 Kupang City for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. This fact is known from the t test, which obtained a tcount value of 7,692 > of a ttable value of 1,697 with a significant value of 0,000 0,05.
