A DESCRIPTIVE STUDY ON CONJUNCTIONS FOUNDIN JAKARTA POST NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED MARCH IN 2021
ABSTRACT This thesis is entitled A Descriptive Study on Conjunctions Found in the Jakarta Post Newspaper published March 2021. The problems are: what are the types of conjunctions found in Jakarta Post newspaper published March in 2021, (2) what are the dominant of conjunctions found in Jakarta post newspaper published March in 2021? This study aims at describing the types of conjunctions found in Jakarta post newspaper published march 2021, and the dominant type of conjunctions found in Jakarta post newspaper published March 2021. In this research the writer used the qualitative method, to describe and explain the types of conjunction found in newspapers. After analyzing the data, the writer found that there were three types of conjunction found namely: Coordinating conjunction, subordinating conjunction, and correlative conjunction. The result of this study, the research finds conjunction is: and, nor, or, but, then, for, that, as, if, when, because, though, while, since, before, with and after. The newspaper found amount total of 131 words using the conjunction. found the dominant type of conjunction is correlative conjunction amount total of 70
