THE EFFECT OF THE AMOUNT OF WATER ADMINISTRATION ON THE CULTIVATION OF GREEN STEM PLANTS ( Brassica Juncea L) WITH DRIP IRRIGATION METHOD SaieleMarice*)MakaborangMarthen**) LanoL.Marten**) ABSTRACT A study on the effect of the amount of drip irrigation water on the cultivation of mustard green stems has ben carried out from early April to mid-May 2020, at the Technical Laboratory of the UKAW Agricultural Technology Faculty. This study is an experimental study arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD), with five treatments and five replications, so there are twenty-five experimental units. The drip irrigation treatments that were tried were : Treatment A: 100 ml/day, B: 200ml/day, C: 300ml/day, D: 400ml/day and the treatment E: 500ml/day. The results were analyzed of variance (Anova) to determine the effect and continued with Duncan’s multilple-distance test to find out the best treatment being tried. From the results of the study, it was found that the amount of water given to drip irrigation for the cultivation of mustard greens had a significant effect on plant height growth, production and soil water content in soil planting media in polybags. The best treatment in this study was given by the treatment of 500ml/day of water (treatment E), which could provide the highest plant heigh growth of 28.92 cm, the highest wet weight production of 211 grams, and the final moisture content of soil planting media in polybags of 40,96%.
