Seaweed is one of the coastal resources that has quite high economic value and is an export commodity in the Indonesian aquaculture sector due to high demand in the world market. Munaseli Village is one of the seaweed cultivation centers in Pantar District. This study aims to analyze the growth of the red algae Kappaphycus alvarezii with different depths cultivated using the long line method in Munaseli Village, Pantar District, Alor Regency. This research was conducted in July-August 2022. The seaweed that was tried was the Sakol The research method used is a survey method, observation and data collection directly at the research location as well as experimental methods used for trials of seaweed cultivation with different depths. Quantitative methods were used to analyze the growth of seaweed during the study. Analysis of the data used is the analysis of daily growth, relative growth and absolute growth. The results showed that the highest final growth weight of Kappaphycus alvarezii was at a depth of 60 cm with a value of 122.2 grams in the seventh week, and the lowest was at a depth of 5 cm with a weight of 114.2 grams in the seventh week. The highest daily growth rate was at a depth of 60 cm with an average weight of 0.94 gram/day and the lowest was at a depth of 5 cm with an average weight of 0.89 gram/day. The relative growth of Kappaphycus alvarezii seaweed with the highest average value is at a depth of 60 cm with a weight of 4.13%/day and the lowest is at a depth of 5 cm with an average weight of 4.11%/day. The highest absolute growth of seaweed was at a depth of 60 cm with a value of 72.2 grams and the lowest at a depth of 5 cm with 64.2 grams. The physical-chemical factors of the waters such as temperature, brightness, currents, salinity and pH are within the normal range for the growth of Kappaphycus alvarezii.
