THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LEARNING INDEPENDENCE AND STUDENT ATTITUDES IN ONLINE LEARNING USING AN INDIVIDUAL APPROACH AT JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL COUNTRY 20 KUPANG CITY Subu, Y.F)* Meha, A.M)** Bullu, N.I)** This research departs from the limitations of learning models and access during the COVID-19 pandemic which affected success in learning. In general, class VII A students at SMP Country 20 Kupang City experienced problems because some learning materials required a series of simple practical practical activities offline so that online learning was used, namely the individual assignment approach. This research aims to determine the relationship between learning independence and students' attitudes in learning online using an individual assignment approach at SMP Country 20 Kota Kupang. This type of research is a non-experimental quantitative research using a correlational research design. The sample of this research was students of class VII A, which consisted of 30 students. The instruments used in this study were non-test instruments in the form of questionnaires and documentation. Learning independence is able to develop when students are able to complete a lesson they face. The better the learning independence of students, the better the results they get. The principle that starts from attitude is the tendency of individuals or students to act in a certain way. The form of the relationship that occurs between learning independence and the attitude of students in online learning is that it has a positive relationship with a very strong correlation level. This is proven from the results of hypothesis testing using the Product Moment Correlation formula assisted by SPSS Version 21, the Pearson Correlation value is 0.920 > 0.05. This is evidenced by the higher the level of student learning independence, the better the level of readiness of students in receiving individual assignment learning.
