Menganalisis pertanyaan-pertanyaan guru dan respon siswa dalam kelas bahasa inggris dalam proses belajar mengajar
This study is about types of teacher’s questions and students’ responses toward teachers’ questions . The writer conducts this study under the title “An Analysis of Teachers’ Questions and Students’ Response in English Classroom in Teaching and Learning Process”. There were two videos involved in this study. The first video was about 34.37 minutes and the second video was about 16.10 minutes. The writer collected the data through watching the videos . The collected data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive method. The findings revealed that there were five types of teacher’s questions used by the teachers, they were yes/no questions (33,7%), short answer questions (18,1%), open ended questions (11,7%), display questions (22,0%) and referential questions (14,2%) . Three types of students responses used by the students , they were student response (specific) was 48,1%, student response (open-ended or student-initiated) was 46,7% and the last student response (nonverbal) 5,2%.
