A DESCRIPTIVE STUDY ON DIRECTIVE SPEECH ACT FOUND IN JOKOWI’S SPEECH AS SECOND ELECTED PRESIDENT
The writer formulated two research questions such as what types of directive speech act are found in Jokowi’s Speech and what is the dominant type of directive speech act found in Jokowi’s speech. The aims of this research were to found the types of directive speech act that is found in Jokowi’s speech and to identify the dominant type of directive speech act found in Jokowi’s speech. The data was taken from Jokowi’s video speech in youtube and the writer transcribed and analyzed the data by using descriptive qualitative analysis in conducting this research. Therefore, the writer found that the five types of directive speech act was found in Jokowi’s speech sucs as commanding, asking, requesting,ordering and the last was advising and the writer also found the dominant type of dirictive speech act in Jokowi’s speech is commanding.
