A DESCRIPTIVE STUDY ON HOMONYMS OF DAWAN R LANGUAGE IN MANULEA VILLAGE, SASITAMEAN SUBDISTRICT, MALAKA REGENCY
ABSTRACT This thesis is under the title “A Descriptive Study On Homonyms Of Dawan R Language In Manulea Village, Sasitamean Subdistrict, Malaka Regency.” The study is conducted with the aim to find out the homonyms on the Dawan R language and the types of homonyms on the Dawan R language. The method used in thisstudy was descriptive qualitative method. The data was taken from six community members consisting of the hamlet head and five community members in manulea village sasitamean subdistrict malaka regency. In analyzing the data , the writer used the theory about homonym and the types of homonym stated by saeed (2009).From the data analysis, the writer find out 131 homonyms words on the Dawan R language and two types about homonyms on the Dawan R language. After describe homonyms and the types of homonymson” Dawan R Language” thewriter expects this research could give some information or knowledge about homonyms on the Dawan R language to society in the Manulea Village, Sasitamean Subdistrict, Malaka Regency. The writer also excepts that young generation in Manulea Village, Sasitamean Subdistrict, Malaka Regency have to care of local language as one of the wealth of their culture must be preserved.
